SHAKER SERIES: WINE VS. BEER SHOWDOWN

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18TH 7:00PM - 9:00PM | HARVEST TABLE EVENT

Shaker Series, partners with Legacy Liquor store to present a showdown of beer vs wine for best pairing with cheese over three rounds.

The night will start with a welcome drink of your choice of beer or wine at the bar before moving on to the tasting courses. In true Shaker style seating will be shook up between each round of tasting to keep conversations fresh and allow everyone the chance to experience a variety of company.

Each round will feature a 1oz of wine and 1 oz of craft beer. There will be one cheese featured each course. Votes will be taken each round on the preference or pairing winner. Votes will be tallied at the end of the evening to declare a winner: wine vs beer.

Legacy Liquor Store staff will lead the tasting and Shaker Series will spur connections and the shake-up

SUMMER OF FUN - DRAGONBOAT FUNDRAISER

Eye of the Dragon is a Vancouver-based dragon boat team with a mix of blind, visually impaired and sighted paddlers. Dragon boating is a sport in which blind or visually impaired athletes can compete equally with their sighted peers. Join Darryl Lamb at the Harvest Table and be treated to an Italian Wine event where the ancient history of Italy's rich wine culture and its unique catalogue of grapes will be explored. In addition, receive a free dragon boat lesson the following Sunday, June 29 from 2:005:00PM at Alder Bay on Granville Island next to the False Creek Community Centre.

Join Juras Master Distiller Willie Tait and his 35 years of experience at the Harvest Table for an evening of Scotch and food provided by Chef Claire. Those in attendance can look forward to tasting through a selection of Jura Scotch Whiskies including: Jura 10-year-old, Elixir, Superstition, Prophecy, 16-year-old and 1993 Vintage.
