The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Virondot 1er Cru, one of the domaine’s strongest cuves, was matured in 25% new oak. This is backward and a little broody at first, yet it is beautifully defined with its mineralit already tangible, those shallow soils on limestone can almost be smelled!
