The Santenay 1er cru Les Gravières from Domaine Elodie Roy is one of the two most famous terroirs of Santenay. The soil is predominantly clay-limestone covered with many limestone chailles.On the nose, the wine reveals a beautiful aromatic complexity, we discover perfumes of violet, blueberry and morello cherry. Very slight smoky notes given by the aging are revealed with great finesse. The palate is ample and well structured. The tannins are still a little tight because the wine requires some aging even if it is already very pleasant to taste. The aromatics are frank, fine and numerous. The finish is very long and fresh.
